The New Richmond Lions SportsFoundation, a volunteer-member organization, was recently formed in order to promote
excellence in education, values, leadership, physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship and equal opportunities for all students in
the New Richmond Exempted Village School District.
Initially, the SportsFoundation will
provide volunteer and financial support to the New Richmond
High School Athletics teams. With support from the community,
benefits provided to the athletics teams could range from
new facilities to new uniforms and equipment. The SportsFoundation
would also like to eventually support artistic and academic
activities in the school district, from the high school
to the elementary schools, but since the SportsFoundation
is new, its focus for now must be realistic.
Benefits provided to members of this organization range from season passes to home athletic events (that charge admission) to decals
and exclusive SportsFoundation T-shirts. Volunteer opportunities are available in many areas - fund-raising, membership, spirit committee
and special projects to name a few.
